Arcadia

Arcadia is a passion project 9 years in the making, with heavy retro influence. Beginning life as an asteroids based retro-revival, Arcadia has taken on a life of its own, with a deep lore and a large-scale open world story driven campaign coming in the future. 

CURRENT BUILD

The current v0.2.4 "Control the Chaos" build is an early tech demo of the main gameplay mechanics and movement. This build lacks the rogue-lite elements and is instead a pure test of skill and survivability. Try your best to survive as long as you can against the ever worsening odds! 

There is a known issue that causes the GPU usage to increase whilst the game is paused. This is due to the VHS shader. I am making attempts to commission a much more optimised shader in future.

FUTURE BUILDS

The v0.2.5 "Snipe and Cover" update will introduce the first rogue-lite elements to the game, as well as the first enemy types and new weapons!

WARNING!

A GPU IS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED FOR ARCADIA! The game makes heavy use of GPU accelerated particles and lighting, so a GPU from 2018 onwards is recommended (game was developed on an Nvidia GTX 1080ti)

THE GAME IS FREE, BUT DONATIONS ARE HUGELY APPRECIATED AND HELP ME DEVELOP THE GAME! DO NOT USE THE ASSETS OR CODE IN YOUR OWN PROJECT, AS THE GAME IS NOT OPEN SOURCE!!
